Shark Point Marine Reserve

There are no translations available.

Shark Point is probably the most beautiful dive site in this region. This extensive site which consists of three pinacles and some artificial reef thrown in too, is to be found between Phi Phi and Phuket. Named after the Leopard (Zebra shark to the rest of the world) Sharks that are found there on a regular basis, the range of life to be found is extraordinary! The gorgonian fans are some of the biggest I've seen in this area around Shark Point 2.

Anemone Reef takes its name from the abundance of anemones that grow all over. A good spotting ground for many types of moray eel too, and with the occasional leopard shark is always a favourite with the divers.

The King Cruiser Wreck is a must, especially if you can get there on a slack or gentle tide. The abundance of fish is amazing. At some point take your eyes off all the baracudas, snapper, trevellies, emperors over the wreck and take time to focus on the life on and within. Red banded fairy basslets, spotted hawkfish, bearded scorpions, Great, white eyed and honeycomb morays. Even recently a juvenile Clown Triggerfish. There is a resident turtle that has a cabin all to herself.
