Local Dive Sites

Popular Local Dive Sites are;

Koh Si. Island number four when translated from the Thai. A popular dive site with a wide range of hard corals. A nice swim through as well. Look out for pipe fish and bamboo sharks sleeping under the coral heads during the day.

Koh Ha. Island number five. Another very popular site, very pretty hard corals. Look for pipe fish and if you are lucky, blacktip reef shark. One of our outermost islands, you can expect to see large shoals of makerel or trevellies pass through. There is a young greenback turtle that we often see around the south eastern pinnacle off Koh Ha.

Koh Yawabon. This island has a tunnel than runs through it. Look for seahorse and lobsters!

Koh Doh. Small island, not dived very often but slow down and there is plenty to find.

Koh Talu. Another island with a tunnel and some caves. A great site for nudibranchs. I have also found dark pipefish and seahorses here.

Koh Mai Urai. An interesting site, quite often used for training. Sea horses, pipe fish and many nemos!

Koh Yawasam. One of my favourites. Although you will find much damage fron the Tsunami, corals are growing. On the northern tip there is a fine soft coral garden, and when the currents are running expect to see large yellow tail baracuda there. One of the last places here where I have found a lone Napoleon or leopard shark. All sharks were regular to see here just a couple of years ago, but now just a lucky few get to see them. Recently though, we have started to have encounters with blacktip reef sharks. Ver nice!

Koh Samet. This island is rarely visited by dive boats. On the western side there is a well developed coral garden. One of the largest sea horses we have ever seen, we found here!
